healthy garlic green beans

These garlic green beans were fantastic. You know those tender-crisp, salty and delicious green beans they serve in Chinese restaurants? This is how it’s done!

Sauté the green beans for a few minutes, then add a little water and steam until tender. So good! Adding a little salt at the end makes the green beans taste saltier than they really are.

I served these garlic green beans as a side with Easy Beef Lasagna Rolls.

Hello, world!

I’ve always liked cooking, but we used to eat crap a lot — like buttery mashed potatoes, creamy sauces and rich desserts. Then, my husband had a heart attack at age 38, and it was a terrifying wake-up call! Not wanting to leave our children fatherless, we knew we had to make a major change. Following his heart attack, we needed to cut sodium, sugar, saturated fats (you know, most of our favorite foods!)
