Fruit is always the best dessert! Here’s an easy way to give canned pears a holiday glow-up with ginger and vanilla flavors.
Vanilla-Ginger Baked Pears

Ingredients
- 1 15oz can canned pears in juice (rinsed and drained, juice reserved)
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)
- ¼ teaspoon fresh grated ginger
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 °F
- Arrange the pears in a baking dish and pour about ½ cup of the juice that came in their can on top.
- In a small bowl, stir together the sugar, lemon juice, vanilla bean paste and fresh ginger
- Fill the cavity of each pear half with a little bit of the sugar mixture
- Pop the baking dish in the oven for 30 minutes until the pear halves are lightly brown.
