Preheat the oven to 350 °F
Arrange the pears in a baking dish and pour about ½ cup of the juice that came in their can on top.
In a small bowl, stir together the sugar, lemon juice, vanilla bean paste and fresh ginger
Fill the cavity of each pear half with a little bit of the sugar mixture
Pop the baking dish in the oven for 30 minutes until the pear halves are lightly brown.
