Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean pork loin chops (visible fat removed)
  • 1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash (or other salt-free seasoning blend)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil

Savory Sauce

  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Cut the visible fat off the pork chops. Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with the salt-free seasoning blend and garlic powder and rub it in.
  • Heat 1 teaspoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. When the pan is hot, cook 2 of the pork chops over medium-high heat, about 4 minutes per side until a thermometer registers an internal temperature of 145 °F
  • Remove the first batch of pork chops to a plate.
  • Heat another 1 teaspoon of olive oil in the same skillet. Repeat the process; cook the other 2 pork chops in the same skillet for about 4 minutes per side until thermometer registers an internal temperature of 145 °F. We aren't cooking all 4 of the pork chops at once, because if you overcrowd the skillet, the pork chops will just stew in their own juices instead of getting a nice crispy sear on the outside.
  • Remove the second batch of pork chops to a plate.
  • Add the ¼ cup of water, 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil to the skillet. Stir it around over medium-heat and use a spatula to dislodge any browned pork bits stuck to the bottom of the pan, as this adds a lot of flavor to the sauce.
  • Turn the heat down to low and let the sauce simmer for about 2 to 3 minutes before spooning over the pork chops.
